It is always extremely upsetting to be told that you have been selected
for redundancy and it leads to a great deal of worry and uncertainty.
Please note that redundancy is a legitimate way for an employer
to terminate a contract of employment, but it must be a genuine
redundancy in order for it to be fair.
If you are being made redundant and you have concerns
about the selection process, you have the right to challenge the
same and may possibly submit a later claim for unfair dismissal
on the grounds of redundancy.
